There is a problem with that, though. you see Sam E. is suppose to be a cartoonish character with cartoonish features and proportions. Alli seems to be a more realistic character, so I don't think the same rules apply.

I'm just throwing out there, The sash is meant to cover the lower portion of the face, if that's part of it, but I agree the head could be loads better.

Also being an elf she could have a very different facial structure, but that's not so... so ignore this line...

(I thought my line art was okay Sad

ill give her a try, you could just work from there

She Lacks a bow and quiver, in my sprite, so if you want to add those or she can hammer space them...

That's one factor, I was lead to believe it's because the most common Item is a hammer, or mallet.

I believe the term was around way before that, but I don't think you want an encyclopedic explanation of how it comes from early cartoon animation and what not.
